THE BEACH [day two]

up early and ready for some fun! must have hearty breakfast : waffles / eggs / banana.

then time to cover myself (head to toe) in sand.

need water for my sand play.

oh, wait....it's a little scary - need momma or daddy to get it for me.

time for some shade and a (sandy) snack.

daddy is ready to fly the kite! helping him string it.

we ate at home and went out for ice cream, where stella had her first knee scrapes from falling!!! we doctored her up and blew on it and cleaned it up and put a spongebob bandaid on it.

we had a great day at the beach! stella love it :)

THE BEACH!

DAY ONE! stella loves playing in the sand this year and actually DOES love the water, but will not walk into the water by herself. we are having tons of fun!

we went to The Back Porch for dinner. it's all open air and we sat on a little side porch and watched the sunset. it was a perfect night for dinner outside!

aunt jess keeps stella once a week during the summer because she is off. aunt jess is reese's mom and stella + reese just happen to be best friends. these were taken on tuesday 7/21/09. they played at home for the morning, then in the afternoon they went to the nature center for a puppet show and a craft project. i'm sad i can't always do these fun things with stella...but love that she is having a fun summer with her best friend :)

nana + papaw (michael's parents) came for a visit this weekend. this evening the weather was mild and beautiful, so we went for a picnic at the park! we had dinner then played and played!

the garners came over for dinner tonight and the girls got some good play time in :) i'm not ready for the to get ANY bigger yet!!!

tonight we had dinner with jason + meagan at their house. daddy and stella always end up on the couch huggin and snugglin with mater:)

Happy 4th of July!

we spent the morning of the 4th at the James River. it was just the 3 of us + meg (our bulldog) + mater (mitchell's boxer). it was a fishing / chasing / rock throwing / kayaking / dog rescuing / splashing / muddy good time.

in the evening we had the van hover's and the billionis' over for a cookout and some fireworks provided by the van hover's. when the fireworks started i put stella to bed because she was NOT happy about it AND it was her bedtime anyways. thanks for coming over everybody!
